Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission
We are building a circular economy model designed for growth — one that puts producers first. Our model shares revenue directly with the producers of raw materials and the creators who help spread our story. By sharing value with farmers, makers, and creators, we’re fueling circular economies where growth feeds the circle.
Our Vission
A world where ethical commerce is automatic, not optional. Where producers finally share in the prosperity they create. Where technology eliminates the middlemen who extract value and ensures farmers, makers, and communities benefit directly from every sale. We’re building the first truly equitable supply chain—and cocoa is just the beginning.
We saw a clear path to evolve traditional trade models and truly empower the people who grow our chocolate. So, we decided to rewrite the rules from the ground up.
The Problem We Discovered
It all started with a simple love for chocolate and expertise in digital marketing. We traveled to Mexico, Bolivia, and Côte d’Ivoire to understand the cocoa supply chain, and quickly discovered the imbalances. A small handful of cocoa companies profit from the crop. The farmers who grow the world’s chocolate live in poverty. Traditional “solutions” weren’t solving anything
- Fair trade involves complex certifications and delayed premium distributions that farmers struggle to access
- Corporate social responsibility creates layers of intermediaries that dilute impact
- Direct trade pays better prices upfront, then relationships end at purchase
- Transparency promises remain vague with no real-time verification
None addressed the fundamental problem: producers remain disconnected from the value they create.
What We're Disrupting
Buy raw materials as cheaply as possible
Capture maximum profits
Pay farmers the minimum
This isn’t just unfair, it’s economically destructive, degrades land, and lacks transparency.
We refuse to accept this as inevitable.
The Technology Breakthrough
We realised that technology could solve what promises couldn’t.
If platforms can automatically calculate complex digital advertising returns, they can automatically distribute predetermined percentages to farmers in real-time.
The breakthrough: automated equity.
No more waiting for certifications. No more trusting that premiums will eventually reach farmers.
Just transparent, immediate, trackable revenue sharing powered by technology that ensures producers benefit from every single sale.
From Digital Marketing to Social Revolution
Our founder bring combined expertise in digital platforms, consumer engagement, and supply chain innovation. Their journey from online advertising to cocoa farms revealed how technology could solve ancient inequities.
Why He Started The Circle Initiative:
After witnessing firsthand the disconnect between farmer poverty and chocolate industry profits, they couldn’t unsee the injustice. Traditional solutions weren’t working so they decided to build something revolutionary.
Their Unique Advantage:
Deep expertise in digital infrastructure and automated systems means they understand exactly how to build technology that can scale ethical commerce globally. They’re not social entrepreneurs trying to learn technology—they’re technologists applying their expertise to social impact.

Our Values
The principles that guide how we create impact and build a fairer chocolate economy.
Radical Transparency
Transparency Every claim backed by farmer-verified data, every investment documented, every impact measurable. No marketing promises without proof.
Shared Equity
Equity Producers must share directly in the value they create. Technology exists to automate fairness, not increase exploitation.
Transformative Innovation
Innovation Revolutionary problems require revolutionary solutions. We build technology that traditional approaches couldn’t deliver.
Enduring Partnership
Partnership Long-term relationships built on mutual success, not extractive transactions that benefit only buyers.
Regenerative Sustainability
Sustainability Environmental restoration and economic empowerment work together. We build systems that regenerate rather than deplete.

What's the difference between The Circle Initiative and The Cocoa Circle?
The Circle Initiative is our technology platform and circular economy model — a revolutionary system enabling automated revenue sharing across industries. The Cocoa Circle is our first brand and proof of concept, offering premium cocoa products while building the infrastructure that powers this automated revenue-sharing model — a real-world demonstration before global scale.
How does automated revenue sharing actually work?
Every purchase instantly triggers our platform to distribute predetermined percentages directly to the farmers and cooperatives who produced it. By removing intermediaries, technology ensures transparent, trackable benefits for producers. Launching in 2025, the platform is already supported by current Cocoa Circle sales, which fund direct infrastructure investments — proving our impact even before full automation begins.
Why isn't your revenue sharing live yet?
Building revolutionary technology takes time and capital. As a startup, we fund development through product sales and founder investment. Instead of making empty promises, we invest in farmer infrastructure today while developing the platform for automated revenue sharing tomorrow. Our 2024 projects demonstrate real impact, with the full technology launch coming in 2025.
What makes you different from fair trade?
Fair Trade vs. The Circle Initiative Fair Trade: Complex certifications, delayed premiums through intermediaries, minimal value reaching farmers. The Circle Initiative: Direct partnerships, automated revenue sharing, real-time transparency, farmers as business partners sharing in ongoing success. We’re not replacing fair trade — we’re evolving ethical commerce by using technology to automate what certifications promised.
Can other brands use your technology?
Yes—that's the vision. Once the model is proven with cocoa, our platform can expand to enable ethical commerce across industries. Brands committed to genuine producer equity can license the technology, turning ethical sourcing from a niche choice into an automatic industry standard.
How do you choose which projects to fund?
We partner with established NGOs and cooperatives that have deep farmer relationships. Projects are selected collaboratively based on: Farmer-identified needs, not assumptions Immediate potential to improve livelihoods Community-shared infrastructure for maximum impact Proven partner track records As a startup, we invest where resources create the greatest farmer benefit, scaling project capacity proportionally as we grow.
What's your ultimate goal?
Our Mission & 2030 Vision Mission: Transform global commerce to create shared prosperity and prove that technology-enabled circular economy principles deliver superior outcomes for producers, consumers, and businesses. Vision by 2030: Scale the platform across industries so ethical commerce becomes automatic, with thousands of producers receiving automated revenue shares, showing that business can drive powerful, equitable change.
How can I get involved?
Consumers: Buy cocoa products that create measurable impact while supporting platform development Partners: Collaborate on technology, distribution, or impact scaling Investors: Fund the platform that will revolutionize ethical commerce globally Advocates: Share our story and educate others about better business models
Are you a non-profit?
No—we're a social enterprise. Unlike non-profits that rely on donations, we create sustainable business models that generate profit and social impact. Our approach proves you don’t have to choose between profitability and producer prosperity — technology makes both possible.
What if farmers don't want to participate?
We work only with farmers who choose to partner. Every relationship begins with conversation: What do you need? How can we support your goals? Collaboration is key — never imposed. Farmers who prefer traditional models are respected, while we engage with those ready to explore new, equitable approaches together.
